Spinal Canal stenosis

Spina canal stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal canal which can lead to pain, weakness, and irritation of the nerves in the spine. It commonly occurs in the over 50 age group, with the occurrence being linked to normal age-related changes in the spine and is exacerbated by certain movements and positions. Sometimes this can lead to a fear of movement which can exacerbate someone’s pain experience even further. With all back pain, movement is crucial and spinal canal stenosis is no different. We offer a holistic approach which addresses the condition itself and the psychological and social factors which can impact upon the pain experience. We can help you get control of your pain with manual therapy and optimise your function, reduce flare ups, increase resilience, and help you get over that fear of movement through exercise and strength training.
