Pre and Post Natal Exercise
Pregnancy places unique demands on the body, often leading to joint instability, postural changes, and pelvic or lower back discomfort. These changes can result in pain or reduced function during and after pregnancy.
Exercise Physiology can help manage these symptoms through targeted strength and mobility programs. Prenatal exercise has also been shown to reduce the risk of pregnancy-related complications such as gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension and urinary incontinence.
Postnatal concerns such as abdominal separation, pelvic floor weakness or general deconditioning can also be effectively addressed with a structured, progressive exercise program.
Your SmartMoves Exercise Physiologist will guide you through safe, tailored movement to support your body’s changing needs and help you return to normal activity with confidence.
